Wabash Valley Resources, LLC (WVR) is committed to safety and the environment. WVR is planning the hydrogen production plant project in West Terre Haute, Indiana which will be a net-zero carbon emission facility through the innovative retrofit of the existing Wabash Gasification Plant with the deployment of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Biomass Processing. Provide on-shift monitoring, operations, maintenance, and security for the Wabash Valley Resources site
Coordinating skills: Able to adjust/coordinate your work schedule with other jobs to ensure completion of the job by end of the appropriate shift. Able to coordinate appropriate check lists and maintain accurate detail equipment logs
Communications skills: Able to effectively communicate with various internal and external customers
Influencing skills: Able to influence other areas on the right way to operate equipment and identify unsafe conditions and make recommendations
Basic Leadership skills: Able to train new operators on proper processes and procedures
Vocational skills: Able to operate plant machinery as necessary. Able to troubleshoot problems with equipment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 35% Participate in document reviews, future maintenance planning, Lock Out/Tag Out activities 30% Perform routine grounds keeping, facility maintenance and other upkeep related duties 20% Operate, monitor, and maintain outside area equipment, check oil levels, temperature pressures, and make adjustments on equipment 15% Observe and monitor site conditions and security of site. Inform management of any issues related to existing facilities or potential breaches of security
High school diploma or equivalent
One-year prior experience
Three to Five years prior experience preferred
Job Complexity Job requires the knowledge of chemical processes, safety hazards, and environmental permits
Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibility. Candidate will be expected to be able to perform job tasks with limited direct oversite.
This position may have indirect responsibility in assigning/allocating and/or overseeing the following: Maintenance area to tag equipment for repair, or issue permits for work that needs to be done on appropriate equipment.
Working Environment and Conditions Contacts/Relationships The incumbent spends approximately 99% of his/her time developing and maintaining business contacts within the organization. He/she will also spend approximately 1% of his/her time developing and maintaining business contacts outside of the organization.
Working Conditions This position occupies a typical plant manufacturing environment. Exposure to weather elements is substantial. Incumbents will drive various vehicles while performing their job responsibilities. Incumbents spend approximately 20% sitting, 40% standing, and 40% walking as part of performing their job responsibilities and are unlikely to handle materials weighing more than 50 pounds without mechanical assistance. Incumbents will frequently stoop, bend and climb stairs and ladders. Incumbents will use the following office machines in the course of performing their duties: computer, copy/scan/fax machine. Knowledge of office productivity applications is a plus. This job does require shift work, 12 hour shifts, overtime, weekend and nights and holidays as necessary. This job will require wearing appropriate safety gear, and exposure to extreme hot and cold weather.
