GREEN HYDROGEN ECONOMY
Governments worldwide are showing increasing interest in hydrogen as a clean energy carrier to complement electricity in de-carbonizing national energy systems. Hydrogen’s various production paths and use for storing and transporting energy make it a flexible option for linking diverse sources of power generation, transportation fuel production, chemical and agriculture feedstock with existing fuel networks.
Recent and emerging national hydrogen strategies, roadmaps, and similar initiatives share a common driver. They are seen as part of the solution to meeting national commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the 2015 Paris Agreement.
HYDROGEN CARRIER: AMMONIA
Attributes that characterize Ammonia (NH3) as a good hydrogen carrier are: liquid state at ambient conditions; high volumetric and gravimetric energy density; low propensity to create lethal hazards when transported, stored, and used.
Ammonia stands to become a valuable hydrogen energy carrier, that can elevate the feasibility of a Hydrogen economy.
The need for this project is great. This project will have a positive environmental impact and will help pave the way for future projects of its kind. This video illustrates the importance of projects like this to the sustainability of our environment.
