    Process Engineer

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    WVR is looking for an experienced Process Engineer, responsible for interfacing with the EPC FEED engineering contractor and reviewing process related deliverables. This will include Equipment Specifications, P&ID’s, H&MBs, and other engineering deliverables for the new facilities to be installed at Wabash. This position will oversee integration of the existing Gasification plant with the new facilities and will assist in the development of CAPEX and OPEX estimates for the new integrated facility.

    The Process Engineer will support document preparation for the transition to detail engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations of the clean hydrogen facility. This will include participation in basic project management activities as required such as: assisting with schedules, work plans, resource forecasts, meetings, and tracking action items.

    The Process Engineer will participate in existing facility equipment inspections and detail findings in reports to project management. This position will update equipment restart estimates based on inspection findings and ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications, as necessary.

    This position will provide input into site procedures, practices, and policies. The Process Engineer will be an integral part of the transition from construction to commissioning and through operations.

    The Process Engineer shall work in a safe manner that promotes goals of the Company by supporting site EHS activities through compliance with all environmental, health and safety policies/procedures, and through active participation in EHS programs and initiatives.

    This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

    WORK LOCATION

    The Process Engineer will work from the EPC contractors’ office in Houston or remotely. This position will require approximately 20% travel to the project site in West Terre Haute, IN.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    The successful candidate will have a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and 8 years of project development, plant operations or process engineering & design experience with broad understanding of process and safety controls / systems. The candidate should have experience in working with EPC contractors specifying, developing, and reviewing engineering documents.

    Demonstrated success in building or operating process plants, such as hydrogen, syngas, ammonia, refinery, petrochemical, LNG, chemicals, etc. Experience with Gasification, Biomass Pre-Treatment, Carbon Intensity and Lifecycle Analysis (LCA) will be valued, as well.

    Successful applicants will have knowledge of software applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and be able to utilize electronic document management. This position will require good oral and written communication skills.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • This position requires unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

    • Employees must be able to lift up to forty (40) pounds.

    • Walking, standing, and climbing may be required.
